Question:
Someone was moving home, he got Tafseer Ibn Kathir, which was in bad condition. He left it outside and because of rain it got wet and it is not really in good condition to read from. Secondly, when I take islamic newspapers, calendars and other material I do not throw them in recycle bin as I fear there might be words of Allah swt, ayat or hadith and I might become sinful if I throw them, now what is the right way to dispose them off? Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Wrap the tafsir book with a clean piece of cloth, put something over
it to act as a shield/roof and bury it in a clean and suitable place. As for
other literature that contain the name of Allah, His prophets, angels etc, you
can either bury them in a clean and appropriate place or you can place them in
flowing water. في
