perplexed about istikhara

Question:

I am perplexed about my istikhara but have seen some signs regarding my istikhara. For one moment I feel it to be positive and got some signs too on other hand I do it again. I have told my istikhara to my reliable sister and all she said is it’s in your favour. But please suggest to me what are all the signs which are seen during marriage istikhara. I shall be highly obliged to you.

Answer:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

This is what we advise you to do:

Offer two rak'ats nafl prayer then recite the dua of Istikhara. Say alhamdulillah followed by darud shareef before and after the dua of Istikhara. Thereafter, consult people that you trust and who care about you and use your judgement to decide whether you should marry the person. Whatever decision you make thereafter will be the right decision, inshallah.
