Question:


Is there any dua for taming an extremely naughty 2 year old boy. Infact i understand that it is their age for notorious stuff, but he is just so hyper that it makes it hard to control sometimes... Please advise.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

Name

Recite the following verse of the Holy Quran after every salah (namaz):

 

وَأَصْلِحْ لِي فِي ذُرِّيَّتِي إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ وَإِنِّي مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ

 (Quran 46:15)

 

When you read the word ذُرِّيَّتِي, have your son in mind. Insha'allah, your son will become righteous and well mannered.

 

Apart from the above, it is also incumbent that your son is kept in a good and Islamic environment as much as possible and that he is kept away from bad and evil environment at all times. TV, movies and cartoons have devastating effects on the akhlaaq, manners and behaviour of children.
