woman in iddah attending wedding

Question:

My father passed away last week and my mother is in Iddah at my sister's place. My son's wedding is on next week. I can't postpone the wedding. My question is can I bring my mother to my place during the wedding time?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

It is not be permissible for your mother to leave her home to attend your son’s wedding during her iddah (waiting period). (Fatawa Mahmudiya: 13/399)
