Question:
Can a Muslim use perfume containing alcohol, as it is very hard to find perfumes not containing alcohol.
Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
If
the alcohol in the perfume is made from grapes or dates, it will not be permissible
to use the perfume. Such a perfume is considered impure in the Shariah. If
the alcohol in the perfume is made from something other than grapes and dates
then there is a leeway to use such a perfume, although it will be better to
abstain from using it. Generally, most perfumes have this second type of
alcohol. وبهذا
