Question:
Did the Prophet (s.a.w.) used to snore when asleep? Please provide hadith if so.
Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
_
Ibn
Abbas (Radiyallahu Anhu) reports: “Once Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa
Sallam) slept and began snoring. It was the nature of Rasulullah (Sallallaahu
Alaihi Wa Sallam) that he snored when he slept. Bilaal (Radiyallaahu Anhu) gave
the call to prepare for salaah. Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alaihi Wa Sallam)
awakened and performed the salaah. He did not perform the wudu.” (Shama’ail
Tirmizi; Jam’ul Wasaa’il: 2/77)
