Question:
Can a man trim his beard and to what extent must he grow it from all sides?
Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
It is compulsory to let the beard grow upto the size of one fist. If it grows longer than the size of one fist, it is permissible to trim the excess. Trimming it shorter than a fist is not permissible. This ruling applies to all sides of the beard.
