Question:
Fazail-E-Sadaqat by Maulana Zakaria RA has many examples of sadaqah on behalf of deceaseds (Esale Sawab). Can we also give Sadaqah on behalf of living families who are sick, disabled, stressed, or going astray ? Intention is to seeks Allah's help. Answer: In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Yes,
it is permissible to do any virtuous act -- such as salat,
fasting, sadaqah etc – and to make intention of
sending the rewards of the act to another person, whether dead or alive. By
doing so, the reward of the virtuous act will be sent to the intended person
and the person who carried out the virtuous act will also receive full reward. صرح
