Question:

Mufti sahib please advice what should I do in below mentioned case:

When I am away from my wife for a while I usually, get an erection without any sexual action or masturbation (spontaneous erection) and a few drops of mazi come out. Since this mazi invalidates wudu, what should I do?

Please bear in mind:
- Some time it happens while I am reading Quran or some other book
- Happens again and again
- Some it happens while I am in masjid
- I have to repeat wudu again and again
- It causes disturbance since I am travelling.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

You can try inserting cotton wool inside the urethra (hole of the private part) in order to prevent mazi from exiting the urethra.
 
After putting cotton wool inside the urethra, if only the inside of the cotton wool (i.e. the portion that is inside the urethra) gets wet with mazi, wudu will not break. If the top part of the cotton wool gets wet with mazi, then there are two possible scenarios: 1) if the top part of the cotton wool is totally inside the urethra (i.e. below the tip of the urethra), then the wudu will not break; 2) if the top of the cotton wool is at the tip of the urethra or it is outside of the urethra, then the wudu will break. In short, wudu will only break if mazi exits the urethra or it reaches the tip of the urethra.

After the cotton wool is placed inside the urethra, if it comes out, wudu will break if it is wet. If it is not wet, wudu will not break.
