Australian citizenship pledge or oath

Question:

Is it permissible to make the Australian citizenship pledge in order to be granted Australian citizenship?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

It is permissible to make the Australian citizenship pledge according to Hazrat Mufti Ebrahim Desai sahib and Hazrat Mufti Husain Kadodia sahib. Some ulama do not consider it permissible
